A series of 9 weekly episodes with the participation of 19 artists who express themselves through poetry, creatively occupying the space of Parque dos Poetas in Oeiras. In each episode, two artists communicate and mix poetry with music, dance or performance, resulting in a film that embraces the way they both dialogue with the same space and the day/night duality in aesthetic and artistic intervention. Creating and freely occupying spaces in an evocation and homage to the poets of the Portuguese language.
In the first of 9 short films, the poems of Natália Correia and Filipa Leal, spoken by Beatriz Batarda, intersect with a choreographic creation by Vera Mantero.
Culto is directed by Ricardo Reis and has artistic direction by Paulo Campos dos Reis. The project is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Oeiras and the artistic conception of MUSGO Produção Cultural, as part of the Poetry and Portuguese Language Cultures axis of the Oeiras 27 candidature, and has the support of RTP Palco, which will rebroadcast the content on its digital platforms.
