Pablo Fidalgo (Vigo, 1984) is a writer, theatre-maker and independent curator.

He wrote the poetry books La educación física, Mis padres: Romeo y Julieta and Esto temía, esto deseaba, published by Pre-Textos. Mis padres: Romeo y Julieta was published in Portuguese by Averno. He won the 2012 Injuve Prize with the poetry book La retirada and the Honorable Mention of the Adonais Prize with Crónica de las aves de paso (2018).

He presented his work in several countries and festivals around the world. Created the plays O estado salvaxe. Espanha 1939 (2013), Habrás de ir a la guerra que empieza hoy (2015), chosen by the portuguese newspaper Público as the best performance of 2015, and Daniel Faria (2016). The first two plays are, along with the book Mis padres: Romeo y Julieta, part of a research project regarding the memory of history through a personal and familiar biography.

He participated in the project PANOS (Culturgest, 2015) by writing the play Só há uma vida e nela quero ter tempo para construir-me e destruir-me.

Fidalgo collaborates with Ana Borralho & João Galante as a playwriter, with whom he premiered the play Allez mourir plus loin at hTh Montpellier. His playscripts are compiled in the books Autobiografía de mi generación (MARCO, Vigo, 2014) and Tres poemas dramáticos (Ediciones Liliputienses, 2015).

He is the artistic director of Festival Escenas de Cambio at Cidade da Cultura, Santiago de Compostela. He lives and works in Lisbon.
