Gil Mendo (1946 - 2022), dance programmer at the CCB and Culturgest and professor at the School of Dance, left a legacy of caring and attentive gestures towards all the people he came in contact with, with a sometimes silent but very effective impact on contemporary dance in Portugal.
In this programme of tribute and recognition of these gestures, conceived collectively by the dance community and hosted by Culturgest, a marathon of performances and four conversations will take place around themes that call upon the areas in which Gil Mendo operated: artistic programming, education, the construction of cultural policies and internationalization. The event also includes an archive with documents related to his professional practice.
