As in past projects (GIAPAC - Informal Group of Analysis, Research and Choreographic Support, Rumo Meetings and Laboratory of Research and Choreographic Creation), at O Rumo do Fumo there has always been a desire to keep a privileged space for reflection, research and mapping of studies and deepening of knowledge regarding artistic composition and creation, which would fill some of the perceived shortcomings in the performative environment in Portugal. To pursue research in a professional environment and to create links between professionals of several generations with different experiences and work that, otherwise, would not meet in a common project.

O Rumo do Fumo's Research Group is in residency during an intensive week at Fundão, as part of the Research and Artistic Creation Projects promoted by ARS-id, to expose and share interests, perspectives, needs, desires as well as difficulties and anxieties, and to elaborate practical proposals to deepen or overcome them, taking advantage of the presence of all and the added value of each.

Participants are Henrique Furtado Vieira, Miguel Pereira, Romain Beltrão Teule, Teresa Silva and Vera Mantero.
